We planned ahead partly, went to the store smartly before to pick out the colors we’d want to live around. Climbed on the rooftop to reach up toward the sweet by and by and our friends watch below as we try to make this place all our own – grown golden, together we’ll paint the moon. We will mend and mean it here where it’s warmly lit and we will drink to each other so far. Let’s make this place ours. Hello from the roof. Some Sunday night Now and Then. Stay up and lay close on the floor after we make supper with what’s around. Let’s found a farm fending for ourselves tending the ground, kneed seeds in along to the sound of our songs swung up and down, sung lo and beholden – we’ll make it now. We will mend and mean it.
